GCC citizens, residents can enter Qatar without Hayya Card from today

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) announces that citizens and residents of GCC countries will can enter Qatar without the need to obtain a Hayya Card for non-match ticket holders, through the various entry points in-to the country, in accordance with the usual entry procedures as of December 6, 2022.

This is as follow:

1 – Entry through airports:

citizens and residents of GCC countries coming to Qatar will be able to enter, without the registration through via the Hayya platform. Effective as of today, December 6, 2022.

2 – Entering the country through the land port using bus:

Transportation by buses will be available to all travelers through the land port and parking spaces will be allocated for visitors without fee. 

3 – Entry mechanism through the land port using private vehicles: 

Citizens and residents of GCC countries coming via land ports with their private vehicles will be able to enter the country as of 8th December, 2022. 

They must apply for the permit via the Ministry of Interior’s website at least 12 hours before the travel date. They will not be required to make payment for a vehicle entry permit fee.

The Ministry added, that this step comes in the context of the state’s efforts to provide an opportunity for visitors, citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, to enjoy the atmosphere accompanying the matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar and the entertainment activities during the remainder of this tournament, and to facilitate the entry mechanism through all ports to join thousands of fans in dedicated fan areas allocated viewing areas to cheer the world’s brightest soccer players.
