Gold Rebounds from Monthly Low as Oil Prices Cap Gains
Singapore: Gold prices rose today, recovering from a more than one-month low recorded in the previous session, while gains were capped by elevated oil prices.
Spot gold increased by 0.5 percent to $4,541.39 per ounce, after declining by more than 2 percent in the previous session to its lowest level since 31 March.
US gold futures for June delivery rose by 0.4 percent to $4,550.70 per ounce.
Among other precious metals, spot silver edged up by 0.4 percent to $73.03 per ounce, platinum gained 1.3 percent to $1,970.85, and palladium rose by 1.2 percent to $1,497.91.
