Singapore: Gold prices edged lower in early Asian trading today after touching a six-week high in the previous session, as investors moved to book profits.
Spot gold declined 0.2 percent to US$4,222.93 per ounce, after reaching its highest level since 21 October on Monday. US gold futures for December delivery dropped 0.4 percent to US$4,256.30 per ounce.
In other precious metals, silver fell 1 percent to US$57.40 per ounce, platinum slipped 0.3 percent to US$1,652.05, while palladium rose 0.22 percent to US$1,427.22.
