International Series Oman 2024 Kicks off

Muscat: The “First Asian Tour” international series of golf competitions, organized by the Omani Golf Federation in cooperation with Al Mouj Golf Course, kicked off this evening, with the participation of 132 players competing for a prize worth two million US dollars.

The series of international tours passes through 10 international stops, in the most famous stadiums and the most famous clubs, which are carefully selected to meet the requirements of high quality, diversity of facilities, and exceptional location.

Chilean player Joaquín Nyman said: On the first day of the tournament, I was able to perform well despite the great competition from the champions participating in this round. I am happy to be here in the Sultanate of Oman, and without a doubt, the first round of the tournament represents good preparation and a real test. What will the performance be like in the next rounds?

For his part, South African professional Louis Oosthuizen said: The technical level on the first day is very impressive, and the wonderful thing is that we are playing on the Al Mouj Golf course.

He added: I think that this first round is very important to me, given that most of the participants here consider this round as a qualifying session before participating in the next two rounds in Jeddah and Hong Kong.

The “First Asian Round” international series competitions grant participation to Omani amateur players, as players from the national golf team and Oman, Azzan Al Ramahi and Ahmed Al Wahaibi, participate in this round.
