Oman participates in 8th GCC Health Ministers meetings

Muscat: The 8th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee convened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to discuss a number of common interest issues that promote the joint gulf work in the health field.

The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was headed by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al-Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs with the participation of several senior officials in the Ministry.

The meeting addressed the implementation of the 42nd session of Supreme Council’s decisions in Riyadh in December 2021 in completing the requirements of global competitiveness, as well as the non-tariff restrictions that concern the GCC ministries of health and the decisions related to expatriates’ medical tests in AL Sukhair, December 2016.

The health ministers discussed the action plan of the GCC Health Ministers Committee (2022 – 2026), which includes joint programs and projects aiming to enhance health cooperation between the GCC countries.
