Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the 110th meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council held here today at the Arab League (AL) premises.
The meeting discussed developments in the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, including the Arab Customs Union and investment affairs.
Oman’s delegation was headed by Dr. Nasser Rashid Al Ma’awali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy. The meeting reviewed the report of the AL Secretary General about Arab joint economic and social action and the organization’s agenda for the forthcoming summit.
The meeting also looked into the executive plan for the Arab Aquatic Life Strategy (2018-2037), the Arab Food Security Report 2021 and other issues of concern.
