Oman participates in GCC ministerial council meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman today participated in the 161st session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the session was headed by His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministerial Council, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Qatar, was briefed on the efforts made by the committees working within the framework of the Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat to implement the decisions of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council to enhance joint Gulf action in all fields.

The Council reviewed the latest developments in political issues regionally and internationally, most notably the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the international efforts made to stop it.
