Omani family killed in road accident in Egypt: Embassy

Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo mourned the death of an Omani family on their way from Sharm El-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt, after the car they were in overturned, with the survival of a ten-year-old child.

Immediately after the embassy received the news of the accident from the Egyptian security authorities, a team of embassy members was assigned to go to the accident site, which is 380 kilometers away from Cairo, to arrange the transfer of the bodies and follow up on the child’s condition. The child was transferred in the early hours of this morning to Cairo under the supervision of diplomat Mahfouz Al-Ghazili. His transfer to the Sultanate of Oman will be arranged after ensuring his ability to travel based on the doctors’ approval. The child will be accompanied by a member of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman.
