    • Omani official offers $1 million for Messi’s World Cup bisht

    An Omani official (lawyer) and member of Oman’s parliament has offered $1 million for Argentina captain Lionel Messi’s for the famous bisht Qatar’s Amir placed on Messi during the final match World Cup trophy ceremony last Sunday. 

    Ahmed Al Barwami, 41, made the genuine offer in a Twitter post on Tuesday, said: “My friend Messi.. from the Sultanate of Oman, I  congratulate you on your winning the Qatar World Cup 2022,”  

    “Emir Tamim impressed me as he dressed you with the Arab bisht, a symbol of magnanimity and wisdom. Messi, I’am offering you 1 million dollars for you to give me that bisht.” said in his tweet. 

    After beating France 4 – 2 on penalties and winning the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Messi was offered the bisht by Sheikh Tamim, the Emir of Qatar
