Oman’s MTCIT Participates in GCC Government Communication meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh: Represented by the Government Communication Centre, the Ministry of Information took part in the first meeting of heads of centres and offices of government communication in GCC states. The meeting was held in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) today.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Dr. Majid Abdullah Al Qasabi, Acting Information Minister of the KSA, underscored the significance of integrative media action. He stressed the need to transform the outcomes of the meeting into executive programmes that contribute to the development of the GCC media action.

The meeting discussed various ways of consolidating government communication in the GCC, Arab, Islamic and global events, in addition to upgrading joint cooperation in the fields of media training, in terms of production and innovation. It also outlined the functions of an action team to be tasked with devising a vision for the sustainability of joint government communication. – ONA
