Poetry evening held at Embassy of Oman in Cairo

Cairo: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, organized a poetry evening at the Ahmed bin Majid Cultural Salon, within the framework of the Sultanate of Oman’s celebrations of the 52nd Glorious National Day and the Golden Jubilee for the establishment of Omani-Egyptian diplomatic relations.

A number of poets participated in the evening, including: Hammoud Al-Eisri, Fahd Al-Saadi, Faisal Al-Farsi from the Sultanate of Oman, Tariq Al-Kurdi, Issam Badr and Ahmed Imam from Egypt, and Nahed Shabib from Syria.

The poems expressed loyalty to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the feelings of love for Oman and the strong ties with Arab countries and peoples.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, stressed in his speech the depth of the Omani-Egyptian relations and the brotherly ties between the two peoples.

During the evening, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo organized art exhibition in which 52 paintings by Omani, Egyptian and foreign painters expressed the renewed Omani renaissance.
