Saudi Arabia on Thursday said it will allow direct entry to travelers from Pakistan, India, Egypt, Indonesia, Brazil, and Vietnam starting from December 1, 2021, lifting a requirement that they first spend two weeks outside the six countries , the Saudi press agency (SPA) said.

Passengers are required to quarantine for 5 days in the government approved accommodation after arriving, regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status, the news agency reported

“The source stressed the importance of adhering to the application of all precautionary measures and preventive protocols that have taken to stem the spread of Covid-19,” SPA reported. It also said “All the procedures and measure are subject to continuous evaluation by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom, according to the developments in the epidemiological situation globally, said SPA

The decision was taken after continuous updates to the “epidemiological situation locally and globally” and the reports submitted by the Saudi health authorities about the developments of the Covid-19 pandemic and the health situation in several countries.
