2.3 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Dhofar, 133km from Salalah

Salalah: The Sultan Qaboos University Earthquake Monitoring Center has recorded a minor earthquake in the Sadah, Dhofar measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale at 9:57 AM on Sunday 23rd August 2026.

The Earthquake Monitoring Center recorded a moderate earthquake in the Sadah, Dhofar measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale at 9:57 AM.

The epicenter was located approximately 133 km North East of Salalah. The earthquake struck at a depth of 2 kilometers.
