Dhofar SME Exhibition Draws More Than 79,000 Visitors
Salalah: The second edition of the “Empowerment and Excellence” exhibition, organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), represented by the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, attracted 79,518 visitors from its launch at the Al-Gharf project in Dhofar Governorate until the conclusion of its activities today.
The exhibition provided a platform for 50 small and medium enterprises to showcase their products and services across various sectors, including perfumes and frankincense, fashion and textiles, Omani hospitality and food products, and traditional crafts and industries.
The closing ceremony featured a number of interactive dialogue sessions addressing key issues relevant to entrepreneurs and business owners.
The “Entrepreneurs’ Talk and the Role of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Empowerment” session discussed sound financial management practices, including the importance of separating personal accounts from business accounts to ensure accurate calculation of profits.
The session also addressed requirements for accessing international markets and ways for entrepreneurs to respond to regional challenges while pursuing opportunities for business growth.
Another session, titled “Franchise and Successful Brands Program,” highlighted practical experiences in franchising and brand development, providing business owners with insights that could help them expand their enterprises and develop sustainable business models.
The “Trader’s Tale” session featured success stories and experiences from entrepreneurs, highlighting challenges they encountered and how they transformed them into opportunities for growth and sustainability.
The exhibition forms part of OCCI’s efforts to support economic activity across Oman’s governorates and create a supportive investment environment for small and medium enterprises.
It also seeks to enable SMEs to expand their market presence, establish productive partnerships and contribute to the growth and diversification of the national economy.
