“Beat the Heat” Awareness Campaign by Bangladesh Social Club- Greater Dhaka Wing, Oman

Muscat, Oman – The Greater Dhaka Wing of the  Bangladesh Social Club Oman has successfully organized a full-day campaign titled “Beat the Heat” to raise awareness among Bangladeshi expatriates about the extreme summer temperatures in Muscat.

As part of the program, expatriate workers were provided with vital guidance on health protection, safety measures during extreme heat, and access to emergency assistance. In addition, food items were distributed as gifts among workers to support their well-being.

The campaign was led by Dhaka Wing Convener Mohammad Iqbal and attended by Advisors Engineers Abdul Hamid and Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Member Secretary Engineer Jamal Uddin, Joint Convener Ahmad Ullah, Engineer Arif, Engineer Abdul Alim, Engineer Alamgir, Engineer Mehedi, along with other prominent leaders of the wing.

It is noteworthy that this is the first awareness campaign of its kind organized by the Greater Dhaka Wing, aimed at safeguarding the health and welfare of Bangladeshi expatriates working in Oman. During the event, leaders emphasized:

• Following proper health protection measures during peak summer heat,
• Adhering to Oman government safety guidelines, and
• Sending remittances through legal channels.

The leaders of the Greater Dhaka Wing expressed their gratitude to Bangladesh Social Club Chairman Sirjul Haque C.I.P. and to all members of the Executive Council for their guidance and wholehearted support in making the program a success.

Chairman Sirjul Haque C.I.P. commended the Dhaka Wing leaders for their diverse and timely initiative and expressed hope that such public welfare activities will continue on an even larger scale in the future.
