Adne Willemjan wins Stage 2 of Tour of Salalah

Salalah: Malaysian Terengganu Cycling Team’s Adne Willemjan won the second stage of the fifth edition of the Salalah International Cycling Tour 2025, organised by Dhofar Municipality in partnership with the Oman Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, as part of the Dhofar Khareef events. Second place went to Tekle Alemayo of the Slovenian Amani team, while third place went to Nicholas Sessler of the Philippine Victoria Sports Pro team.

The race started from Taqah Fort and reached Hajeef in Salalah, covering a distance of 132 kilometers, with the participation of 84 professional cyclists from local, regional, and international teams. At the end of the race, Saif bin Sebaa Al Rashidi, Chairman of the Oman Cycling Federation, honored the winners.

Adne Willemjan received the gold jersey for leading the overall standings, and the green jersey for leading in points. Abdullah Jassim, from the UAE national team, received the white jersey for the under-23 category, while Yassin Hamza, from the Algerian Madar Pro team, received the gray jersey for best combat cyclist. Meanwhile, the Malaysian Terengganu Cycling team was named best team of the stage.

It is worth noting that the Salalah International Cycling Tour is an officially registered event on the calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI). Since its inception, it has attracted professional teams from around the world, creating a global sporting platform that combines the strength of competition with the diversity of terrain that characterizes the Dhofar Governorate.
