    Oman Film Society Strengthens Global Partnerships at Australian Film Festival

    Canberra: The Oman Film Society participated in the International Film Festival of Australia (IFFA), as part of its efforts to deepen cinematic cooperation with international film festivals—particularly IFFA—and to expand opportunities for Omani films to engage with global platforms and influential cinematic forums.

    Through its participation, the Society aimed to establish channels for future cooperation in joint film production, while exploring opportunities for training, professional development, and the exchange of expertise between Omani filmmakers and their counterparts from around the world.

    The Society’s presence at IFFA also sought to enhance the visibility of Omani cinema on the international stage, enabling filmmakers to gain exposure to diverse creative and technical practices that can enrich their work and support the growth of the local film industry.

    This participation marks an important step toward empowering Omani creative talent, expanding their access to international markets and festivals, and contributing to the broader development of the film industry in the Sultanate of Oman.
