Dollar Recovers Marginally Yen Extends Decline
Singapore, 13 Jan (ONA) — The US dollar index edged higher today, recovering slightly to 99.01 after recording its weakest performance in three weeks during the previous session.
Meanwhile, the Japanese yen slipped to its lowest level since July 2024, trading at 158.975 per dollar.
In other major currency movements, the euro eased 0.08 percent to $1.1657, after gaining as much as 0.5 percent in the previous session. Sterling rose 0.07 percent to $1.3475, extending Monday’s 0.47 percent increase.
The Swiss franc was little changed at 0.7976 per dollar. The Australian dollar declined 0.04 percent to $0.6707, while the New Zealand dollar advanced 0.1 percent to $0.5777.
