Parking Restrictions and Partial Closures for Tour of Oman Stage One
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), represented by the Directorate of Relations and Security Information, announced a partial traffic closure on Saturday, 7 February 2026, in conjunction with the launch of Stage One of the Tour of Oman 2026.
The ROP stated that parking will be prohibited on both sides of roads along the race route during the event to ensure public safety and the smooth flow of the race.
The stage will start at 10:25 a.m. from Al Khuwair Square, in front of the flagpole, in the Governorate of Muscat. Cyclists will proceed toward the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, then turn right onto Al Thaqafa Street, continuing across the Ministries District Bridge to reach the traffic light intersection in Al Khuwair adjacent to Doha Al Adab Street.
The route will then extend north along the Muscat Expressway toward Al Jabal Street (Aqabat Al Amarat–Bowsher), reaching the traffic lights at Al Mahaj Bridge. Competitors will turn right toward Seih Al Dhabi Roundabout, continue north to Al Masra Hospital Bridge, and proceed toward the Wilayat of Qurayyat, concluding this section of the stage at the Fins Intersection.
The Royal Oman Police called on road users to adhere to traffic instructions, cooperate with security personnel, and use alternative routes during the race period.
