Oman Club Clinches 10th Handball League Championship
Muscat: Oman Club was crowned champion of the Sultanate of Oman First Division Handball League for the 2025/2026 sports season after defeating Muscat Club 31–28 in the final match held at the main hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
Oman Club entered the match determined to maintain its dominance in the league and successfully retained the championship title for the fifth consecutive season, marking a historic achievement that brings its total league titles to 10 and reinforces its strong presence in Omani handball in recent years.
The team also managed to redeem its earlier defeat in the Fifteenth Ministry Shield competition, which it had lost to Al-Amerat Club.
Meanwhile, Muscat Club approached the final with hopes of reclaiming the league title that has eluded it since the 2017/2018 season, when the club secured its eighth championship. The team aimed to claim its ninth title this season following a strong campaign in the league, but Oman Club ultimately secured victory.
At the conclusion of the match, Oman Club players were awarded the gold medals and the league trophy, while Muscat Club received the silver medals. The bronze medals went to Al Seeb Club.
