Oman Edges Uzbekistan on Penalties to Reach Asian Games Qualifiers Final

Bangkok: Oman’s national hockey team qualified for the final of the Asian Games qualifiers for “Japan 2026” after defeating Uzbekistan 5-4 in a penalty shootout following a 4-4 draw in regular time.

The match was held at the Royal Thai Air Force Stadium in Bangkok.

With this result, Oman continues its campaign in the qualifiers, having already secured qualification for the 2026 Asian Games.

The final match is scheduled for tomorrow, with Oman set to face the winner of the match between Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

The 2026 Asian Games will be held in Nagoya, Japan, from 19 September to 4 October.
