Italy Halts Military Cooperation Deal with Israel

Rome: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced today the suspension of Italy’s defence cooperation agreement with Israel, according to reports by the Italian news agency ANSA.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event in Verona, Meloni said that the government had decided to suspend the automatic renewal of the agreement in light of the current situation.

The agreement covers cooperation in military equipment exchange and technology research. No further details were provided.
