Mohammed Al-Alawi Represents Oman at World Table Tennis Championships
Muscat: The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has selected Omani international referee Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Alawi, holder of the Blue Badge, to officiate at the World Table Tennis Championships, scheduled to be held in London from 28 April to 10 May.
The selection reflects Al-Alawi’s extensive experience in officiating international tournaments across several countries, including China, France, Italy, Spain, Singapore, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and India, in addition to a number of Arab countries.
Al-Alawi said that this participation marks his first appearance in a major world championship, noting that it represents an important milestone in his refereeing career and reflects the progress of Omani refereeing at the international level.
He added that the achievement comes as a result of continuous support for referees in the Sultanate of Oman and ongoing efforts to develop national competencies in line with international standards.
Al-Alawi affirmed that representing the Sultanate of Oman in such events carries significant responsibility, expressing his commitment to delivering a high level of performance that reflects positively on Omani sports and enhances the presence of Omani referees globally.
