Fatalities, Injuries Reported Following Israeli Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon
Beirut: Several people were killed and injured following Israeli airstrikes that targeted residential homes in southern Lebanon early today.
The National News Agency of Lebanon reported that Israeli warplanes carried out a number of airstrikes on the Al-Arab neighborhood in the town of Deir Al-Zahrani, resulting in fatalities and injuries.
According to the agency, rescue teams recovered several bodies from the affected area, while efforts continue to search for individuals believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.
The airstrikes targeted residential homes whose occupants were asleep at the time of the attack, causing significant damage to the buildings.
Earlier today, the Israeli military issued an evacuation order for residents living south of the Zahrani River.
