Port of Salalah Ranks Third Globally in World Bank’s Container Port Performance Index
Salalah: The Port of Salalah has secured third place globally and first place in the Arab world in the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2025, published by the World Bank Group in collaboration with S&P Global Market Intelligence.
The achievement places the Port of Salalah among the world’s top three container ports, reflecting its strong global competitiveness and advanced operational capabilities.
The ranking highlights the port’s efficiency in vessel handling operations, reduced vessel turnaround times, and its commitment to maintaining high standards of performance across its logistics and maritime services.
The accomplishment also underscores the Port of Salalah’s role in strengthening Oman’s position as a regional and international logistics hub, while supporting the objectives of Oman Logistics Strategy 2040.
The CPPI is one of the leading global benchmarks used to assess the performance and efficiency of container ports worldwide, based on factors including port productivity, operational efficiency, and the time vessels spend in port.
