Morocco Draw with Brazil in 2026 World Cup Group Opener
New York: Morocco opened their campaign in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 1-1 draw against Brazil in their Group Three match held in New York.
Morocco took the lead in the 21st minute through Ismael Saibari before Vinícius Júnior equalised for Brazil in the 32nd minute.
The result earned both teams one point from their opening group-stage encounter.
In the other Group Three match, Scotland secured a 1-0 victory over Haiti.
Morocco will face Scotland in their second group-stage match on 19 June, while Brazil will take on Haiti on the same day.
