Oman Special Olympics Team Shines at MENA Regional Beach Games
Tunis (ONA): Oman Special Olympics team recently won two top medals at the 10th Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Beach Games held in the Republic of Tunisia. It bagged gold medal in the beach volleyball competition and silver medal in the triathlon competitions during the MENA region’s 2026 games.
The tournament also saw a remarkable Omani presence at the leadership level, namely through the selection of champion Mujahid Al Sarhani as an official spokesperson representing the MENA region within the “Young Leaders Programme”. This affirms the success of the Omani Special Olympics programmes of grooming young cadres capable of representing the Sultanate of Oman at international forums.
