Barcelona Extend Andreas Christensen Contract Until 2028

Barcelona: Barcelona have announced the contract extension of Danish defender Andreas Christensen, keeping him at the Spanish club until 30 June 2028.

The 30-year-old will remain at Camp Nou for two more seasons as he prepares to begin his fifth campaign with the Catalan side after joining from Chelsea in the summer of 2022.

Since his arrival, Christensen has made 98 official appearances for Barcelona, including 71 in La Liga, 15 in the UEFA Champions League, two in the UEFA Europa League, six in the Copa del Rey and four in the Spanish Super Cup.

During his time at the club, he has helped Barcelona win three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.

Christensen missed most of last season after sustaining a partial anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee, which kept him sidelined for several months.
