    Muscat Stock Exchange Index Falls 0.18% as Trading Value Drops 22.9%

    Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index closed today at 7,509.36 points, down 13.5 points, or 0.18 percent, from the previous session’s close of 7,522.85 points.

    Trading value stood at approximately RO 27.57 million, declining by 22.9 percent from RO 35.77 million recorded during the previous trading session.

    According to the Muscat Stock Exchange report, the total market capitalization fell by 0.098 percent compared with the previous session, reaching approximately RO 38.29 billion.

    Foreign investors recorded purchases worth approximately RO 2.82 million, representing 10.23 percent of total trading value.

    Foreign investors’ sales amounted to approximately RO 4.33 million, accounting for 15.69 percent of total trading value.

    As a result, net foreign investment declined by approximately RO 1.50 million, equivalent to 5.45 percent.
