    Oman Labour Inspections Record 3,792 Visits, 856 Non-Compliant Establishments

    The Ministry of Labour has reported the outcomes of its inspections to monitor compliance with labour relations provisions, recording a total of 3,792 inspection visits across the Sultanate of Oman.

    The inspections included 72 inspection campaigns, 116 repeat inspections, 395 follow-up inspections and 3,209 comprehensive inspections.

    Of the establishments inspected, 2,936 were found to be compliant with the Labour Law, while 856 establishments were found to be non-compliant.

    Authorities took a range of measures against non-compliant establishments, including 116 re-inspections, 395 verbal warnings, and 3,209 cases involving advice and guidance.

    The Ministry also reported that 29 violations were issued against establishments that had previously been cited in violation reports, with 27 of those cases referred to the Public Prosecution.

    The inspection programme forms part of the Ministry of Labour’s efforts to strengthen compliance with labour legislation, promote awareness among employers and establishments, and ensure adherence to labour relations regulations in Oman.
