Oman Across Ages Museum Welcomes One Millionth Visitor

Manah: The Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah celebrated today the arrival of its one millionth visitor since the museum opened, marking a significant milestone that reflects its growing status as a cultural, educational and tourism destination in the Sultanate of Oman.

The museum has attracted visitors from inside and outside Oman since its opening, with Omanis accounting for 81 percent of the total visitors and tourists representing 19 percent.

A special ceremony was held to mark the milestone, during which the one millionth visitor was honoured and taken on a tour of the museum’s galleries. The tour highlighted prominent historical sites, interactive experiences and modern technologies used to present Oman’s history and cultural heritage.

Engineer Al-Yaqdhan bin Abdullah Al-Harthi, Director General of the Oman Across Ages Museum, said that celebrating the one millionth visitor represents a celebration of all those who have visited the museum to explore Oman’s history and cultural heritage.

He noted that the achievement reflects the continuous efforts made since the museum’s opening to develop the visitor experience and strengthen its position as a leading cultural, educational and tourism destination.

Al-Harthi added that reaching one million visitors marks an important milestone in the museum’s journey and reflects the growing interest and confidence it has gained among visitors.

The achievement further highlights the museum’s role in presenting Oman’s history and cultural heritage through modern and interactive methods.

The Oman Across Ages Museum was inaugurated on March 13, 2023, under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, and has since become a prominent destination for learning about the Sultanate’s history, civilisation and cultural heritage
