Al Jabal Al Akhdar Festival 2026 Attracts More Than 300,000 Visitors
Muscat: The Al Jabal Al Akhdar Festival 2026 in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate attracted more than 300,000 visitors during its 45-day run from July 15 to August 29.
The festival featured a wide range of cultural, entertainment, sporting, family and adventure activities, with events and attractions spread across various sites, villages and tourist destinations in Al Jabal Al Akhdar.
Key attractions included the Family Oasis, Youth Square, Games Square, Children’s World, Cinema Dome, Mountain Bazaar and Passion for Taste, alongside theatrical performances, competitions and youth activities.
The festival also provided opportunities for small and medium enterprises, productive families, farmers and local businesses to showcase and sell their products, while hotels, restaurants, cafés and other tourism-related businesses experienced increased activity during the season.
Officials said the strong turnout highlights the growing tourism appeal of Al Jabal Al Akhdar and the festival’s contribution to supporting local businesses and economic activity across the governorate.
