2,763kg of Expired Fish Seized at Commercial Establishment in Dhofar
Salalah: The Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar Governorate, in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality, seized 2,763 kilograms of expired fish at a commercial establishment in the governorate.
The inspection also revealed manipulation of the production and expiry dates displayed on the products, in violation of the Consumer Protection Law and regulations governing the circulation of food products.
The necessary legal measures were taken against the violating establishment, while the seized quantities were placed under custody in accordance with the applicable procedures.
The inspection campaign forms part of ongoing efforts by the Consumer Protection Authority and relevant authorities to protect consumer health and safety, ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard the quality and safety of food products available in the local market.
