Riyada, Nama Launch “Riyada Plus” to Help SMEs Manage Electricity Bills

Riyada and Nama Sign MoU to Support SMEs Through “Riyada Plus” Program

Muscat:  The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) signed a memorandum of cooperation with Nama Electricity Supply Company to implement the “Riyada Plus” programme, which provides supportive solutions and benefits to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) holding the Riyada Entrepreneurship Card.

The programme aims to enable SMEs to meet their electricity service obligations through flexible payment solutions, while supporting business continuity and helping enterprises manage their financial commitments.

The memorandum seeks to enable SMEs to adopt more efficient electricity consumption practices, contributing to reducing electricity bills and improving their ability to manage operating costs.

It also aims to reduce delays in settling electricity bills and limit service disconnections resulting from accumulated arrears, while improving the efficiency of dues collection and reducing the accumulation of outstanding payments.

The cooperation further seeks to enhance the customer experience and satisfaction of SME subscribers, strengthen institutional partnerships supporting the SME sector, and update subscriber data to contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of services provided to this segment.

The memorandum was signed by Mazen bin Saif Al Busaidi, Vice President for Small and Medium Enterprises Development at Riyada, and Engineer Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Fazari, Acting CEO of Nama Electricity Supply Company.

The initiative reflects efforts to provide practical support mechanisms for Omani SMEs and strengthen their ability to maintain sustainable operations and contribute to economic activity.
