Al Noor Association for the Blind Concludes “Our Summer is Giving and Growth 11” Program

Muscat:  Al Noor Association for the Blind in Muscat today concluded the activities of its summer program “Our Summer is Giving and Growth 11,” held at the association’s headquarters.

The program forms part of the association’s efforts to organize purposeful activities that empower persons with visual disabilities, develop their capabilities and enhance their active participation in society.

The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Hamoud Al-Harthi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development for Persons with Disabilities.

The ceremony began with a speech delivered on behalf of the participants by Amir bin Nasser Al-Hadidi, who highlighted the role of the program in translating the association’s mission of empowerment and capacity building into practical activities.

He noted that such programs contribute to strengthening community participation and creating broader opportunities for persons with disabilities to become active partners in development.

The ceremony featured a documentary highlighting the main activities and achievements of the summer program, followed by the honoring of participants, trainers and organizers in recognition of their contributions to its success.

An accompanying exhibition showcased a selection of works and projects produced by participants during the program.

Al Noor Association for the Blind in Muscat Governorate organizes various activities and programs throughout the year focused on care, rehabilitation, empowerment and support for persons with visual disabilities.
