Oman Airports Secure 9 Awards at ACI 2026 Customer Experience Awards

Istanbul (ONA):  Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport have received 9 global awards as part of the program of Airport Service Quality (ASQ)’s “Customer Experience Awards”, granted by Airports Council International (ACI) during the council’s 2026 Summit held in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The award underscores the advanced standing of Muscat and Salalah airports and their experience in offering top quality passenger service. It also reflects the integrated efforts of Oman Airports company’s staff, employees and partners within the airport community.

It underscores their dedication on a daily basis, as they join hands to offer an efficient travel experience for passengers at every stage of the journey through Omani airport.

Muscat International Airport garnered 4 awards: “Most Enjoyable Airport,” “Cleanest Airport,” “Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff,” and “Best Departure Airport” in the category of airports handling 5 million or more passengers in the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East region.

Salalah Airport received 5 awards: “Most Enjoyable Airport,” “Cleanest Airport,” “Easiest Journey Through Airport,” “Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff” and “Best Departure Airport” in the category of airports handling fewer than 5 million passengers in the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East region.

Saud bin Nasser Al Hubaishi, Acting CEO of Oman Airports, said that international awards affirm travellers’ confidence in the services provided at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport. The accomplishment also contributes to the Sultanate of Oman’s standing in the aviation sector, in terms of service quality and passenger experience, he added.

Al Hubaishi noted that the awards support the role of the two airports in serving travel and tourism and enhancing national and international air connectivity.

He explained that the “Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff” award gained special significance, as it directly recognizes the human element and the daily efforts of Oman Airports employees, staff and partners within the airport community.

He added that the achievement was the outcome of efficient teamwork and constant integration among all parties operating at the airport, including operations, services and passenger interaction points.
