Oman, Rwanda Sign Eight Agreements and MoUs in Salalah
Salalah (ONA): The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Rwanda today signed two agreements and six memoranda of understanding at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah, during the official visit of President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda to Oman.
The agreements and MoUs aimed at deepening cooperation and partnership between the two countries. The first agreement provides for mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports, while the second covers the avoidance of double taxation.
The memoranda of understanding encompassed agriculture, logistics, land and dry port development, supply chain services, investment promotion, labour, strategic partnership and investment activation.
The agreements and MoUs were signed from the Omani side by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Ali bin Talib Al Maawali, Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Aviation Investment.
On the Rwandan side, the agreement and MoUs were signed by Olivier Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Yusuf Murangwa, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Antoine Kajangwe, Minister of Trade and Industry, Solange Uwituze, Minister of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources and Juliana Muganza, CEO of Rwanda Development Board.
