Al Suwaiq (ONA) : Project site construction works are in full swing at Al Suwaiq Industrial City, with investors spearheading the launch of the industrial city deemed an attractive business destination in North Al Batinah Governorate.
Munthir bin Ali Al Nasri, Acting Director General of Al Suwaiq Industrial City, said in a statement that Al Suwaiq Industrial City has so far attracted investment projects worth more than RO 1.4 million, with the total leased area so for exceeding 80,000 square metres.
This, he observed, brings the cumulative total investment in the industrial city to more than RO 2 million and the overall leased area to 90,000 square metres.
The projects being set up at Al Suwaiq Industrial City cover a variety of sectors, including polyethylene production, industrial oil refining, bitumen polymer modification and the the manufacturing of ceramic tiles. Al Suwaiq Industrial City occupies a total area of 12.2 million square metres.
The first phase of the industrial city (1.3 million square metres) will be developed by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), ushering in a new milestone to the system of industrial cities in the Sultanate of Oman. Al Suwaiq Industrial City boasts a wide range of investment opportunities, competitive incentives and advanced infrastructure.
