Oman Hosts 4th GCC Youth Forum, Calls for Gulf Content Creators Database

Salalah (ONA): The 4th GCC Youth Forum, held in the Governorate of Dhofar, recommended establishing a database for content creators and media professionals interested in professional development and training.

The initiative envisages holding workshops and training courses to give GCC nationals access to a diverse range of digital content development.

The recommendations were made at the conclusion of the 5-day forum organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. The event saw the participation of specialists from the Sultanate of Oman abroad.

It was held under the auspices of Dr. Yousuf bin Salim Al Hinai, Head of the Government Communication and Performance Development Unit at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.

The forum also recommended launching an initiative codenamed “Gulf Content Ambassadors” to empower talented youth and content creators and to highlight youth-led initiatives, national achievements and cultural heritage.

In addition, the participants recommended the convening an annual gathering for GCC content creators, establishing a GCC association for media professionals interested in content designing and launching a digital media platform for GCC youth to showcase success stories and foster dialogue among young people.
