Oman Launches Women’s Football Festival in Dhofar for Girls Aged 12–14

Salalah: The first Women’s Football Festival began today in Dhofar Governorate, organised by the Women’s Football Committee of the Oman Football Association, with the participation of 80 female students aged between 12 and 14.

The festival aims to raise awareness of women’s football among girls and highlight the benefits of playing the sport, including promoting physical activity, fostering teamwork and building self-confidence. It also seeks to provide a stimulating sporting environment that encourages girls to experience and enjoy football.

The festival features a range of interactive football activities and drills tailored to the target age group, focusing on introducing participants to the basic skills of the game, strengthening their connection with football and encouraging them to continue practising the sport in the future.
