HM Sultan Haitham to Visit Botswana and Angola for Two State Visits

Muscat- (ONA): His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will go on two state visits to the Republic of Botswana and the Republic of Angola, starting this Wednesday.

A statement to this effect was issued today by the Diwan of Royal Court, the text of which reads as follows:

“Within the context of enhancing the shared interests binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Republics of Botswana and Angola, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will go on two state visits to Botswana and Angola, starting this Wednesday 16 September 2026. The visits stem from the keenness to develop the relations to wider horizons.

The two visits will address areas of cooperation and the opportunities available to enhance them, as well as discussing all matters that contribute to promoting them across various fields.

His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-level official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Angola and Ambassador Ali bin Said Al Kathiri, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of South Africa and Supervisor of the Sultanate of Oman’s relations with the Republic of Botswana. May Allah the Almighty safeguard His Majesty in his journeys.
