Muscat: Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit held a meeting with editors-in-chief editors and directors-general of national media organizations in Oman. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.
Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Chairman of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, gave a visual presentation on Oman Vision 2040, follow-up and implementation mechanisms and the role of the departments concerned in achieving the vision according to its objectives and indicators.
The meeting stems from the deep conviction in the media as a partner in consolidating public awareness about Oman Vision 2040 and phases of its accomplishment.
Oman Vision 2040 comprises four basic pillars, 12 national priorities, 12 strategic approaches, 75 strategic objectives, and 68 national and international performance indicators.
Oman Vision 2040 constitutes an opportunity to enhance partnership and cooperation between various parties with the prime aim of promoting innovation and development in various spheres. The realization of its goals requires joint efforts from all government and private establishments and civil society institutions in the country. -ONA
