Paris 2024 Olympics FIH hockey qualifiers: New Zealand men’s hockey team arrives in Oman
Muscat: The New Zealand hockey team arrived today in the Sultanate of Oman to hold a training camp with the aim of reaching full readiness before participating in the hockey qualifiers for the Summer Olympic Games “Paris 2024”, which will be held from January 15 to 21, 2024 in the new complex “Hockey Oman” in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in Muscat Governorate.
Eight teams will participate in the qualifiers, competing to reserve three qualifying tickets for the next Olympics, while the English team will arrive tomorrow and is one of the candidates to qualify. The qualifying matches will begin on January 15, with 4 matches being held. In the first match, the teams of Germany and Canada will meet at two o’clock in the afternoon, followed by a match between New Zealand and Chile, then a match between Malaysia and China, and in the last matches of the first day, the teams of England and Pakistan will play.
On January 16, the first match brings together Canada and Chile, followed by a match between New Zealand and Germany, then a match between Pakistan and China, and the matches conclude with a match between Malaysia and England.
