    • A Golden Return for Muscat Open Golf Tournament

    Muscat: One of the oldest running amateur events in Oman and the GCC region, and a signature event for the club returns this weekend (23rd – 24th February) for its Golden Anniversary event. Now in its 50th year, Muscat Open has always attracted top amateur golfers from Oman, including Oman National team players as well as members from other GCC nations; who will all be vying for the title of Muscat Open Champion.

    The continued support of Petroleum Development Oman and our generous sponsors ensure the Muscat Open continues to be a huge success. Thanks go to our jubilee anniversary sponsor Hydro Coleherne, platinum sponsors CMS, Nuhas Cables and Sohar International, gold sponsor Sumitomo and our silver sponsors Al Tasnim and OHI.

    The ongoing development and improvement of Ras al Hamra golf course, coupled with some rule and layout changes suggests this year’s event looks set to be one of the most challenging to date. Who will emerge victorious?

    Alongside the Muscat Ladies and Junior Open. This year will also see the launch of the new ‘Muscat Open Legends’. Where golfers, ex-champions and captains are invited to compete in the over 50 category.

    Jas Dhanju, tournament president said “this weekend will truly be a golden one. The Muscat Open continues to attract the best golfers in the country and region, who come together, compete and have fun. Adding the legends event bring another layer to an already outstanding event”
