Bidiya: Bidiya Club for car racing in the wilayat of Bidiya in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, organised a classic sports car exhibition on Friday, the event saw widespread participation from classic car enthusiasts and owners across the Sultanate of Oman.
The exhibition is part of the winter events under the supervision of the Office of the Governor of North Al Sharqiyah and in cooperation with the Oman Automobile Association.
Hamad bin Ali Al Hajri, the field supervisor of the event, said: Today, the public park in the Wilayat of Bidiya hosted more than 40 participants who are fans of classic sports cars of all kinds. This event comes in conjunction with the winter tourist season that North Al Sharqiyah Governorate is known for.
He pointed out that this event attracts visitors and those interested in this event from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
He added: Bidiya Endurance Racing Club has sought during this season to diversify the events and activities that attract the public, as the club previously organized the “Bidiya Carnival” during the 54th National Day holiday, and the event attracted more than 15,000 visitors over three days, indicating that these events contribute to the tourism and economic movement in the governorate during the winter season.
The exhibition included presentations and innovative methods from car owners on how to use classic cars, how to maintain and maintain them, and spare parts, in addition to introducing the history of manufacturing and car components that carry a history and memories for their participating owners, in addition to the driving experience and adherence to traffic rules to ensure sustainability.
