Oman cruise to first win in Gulf Cup’ 26

Muscat: Oman beat Qatar 2-1 Tuesday in their 26th Arabian Gulf ‘Khaleeji Zain’ match at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium.

Qatar scored the first goal in the second minute of the match, but Oman equalized from the penalty spot in the 20th minute, then cruised to victory with the game-winner scored seven minutes after the break.

The win puts Oman on top of Group 4 with four points, ahead of Kuwait which plays against UAE later today.
