Faisal Al Zubair wins the Dubai 24 Hours of GT Challenge World Championship title
Dubai: International racer Faisal bin Khalid Al Zubair and his Al Manar team won first place and the overall ranking in the 24-hour endurance race at the Dubai Autodrome circuit, with the participation of 62 cars from different categories and manufacturers.
Al Faisal Al Zubair entered the race driving the new BMW M4 GT3 Evo in partnership with the WRT team.
The team’s drivers performed well in this race despite starting from fourth place on the starting grid after the official tests that everyone underwent the day before the start of the race, as Al Faisal was accompanied in this mission by British driver Darren Leong, British driver Ben Tuck, German driver Max Hess and Northern Irish driver Dan Harper.
Al Faisal Al Zubair said: “We are very happy to achieve this title, which is the most prominent of its kind in the history of our participation in various races. It was a big dream for me to be crowned with the title of the 24 Hours Endurance Race after four previous participations.
We succeeded in snatching the title in the overall classification, and this will be a great incentive for us to do our best and achieve more results in the new season.”
