Muscat: Former Oman national team and Dhofar Club player Abdul Salam bin Amer Al Mukhaini passed away Tuesday 21 January 2025 evening at the age of 37.
The player began his career with the national team in 2009, during which he played 70 international matches, including in the qualifiers for the Asian Cup, the World Cup, and the Arabian Gulf Cup.
He previously played with Gulf clubs such as Kuwait SC, Al-Raed SC, and Bani Yas SC, and locally with Al-Orouba SC and Dhofar SC, with whom he won many titles, the latest of which was the Omani Super Cup last Tuesday, January 14.
Dhofar Club mourned its player in a statement, confirming that Abdul Salam was a symbol of commitment and dedication to serving the team, and will remain in memory as a player who gave a lot to his club and his country.
