Milan: Omani driver Al Faisal bin Khalid Al Zubair won the gold category of the second round of the AWS World GT Challenge 2025 Endurance Cup with the Omani Al Manar Racing team at the Italian Monza circuit, taking fourth place in the overall standings among 59 cars from various manufacturers.
The Al Manar Al Faisal trio, along with their teammates Klingmann and Ben Tuck, performed brilliantly in their BMW M4 GT3 Evo. The WRT team, which oversaw the car’s technical supervision, and the team, worked together to turn the tide of the race in their favor, despite the team’s late start, which saw them finish seventh in the Gold category and 28th overall. The World GT Challenge is divided into the Sprint Cup and the Endurance Cup, the second round of which was held at Monza, following the inaugural Paul Ricard round.
Al Faisal Al Zubair said: “I am happy to win the Gold Cup category. This is a great result, especially since we started from seventh place at the start of the race and were able to make good progress until the end, securing first place in the Gold Cup category and fourth place overall.”
He added: “The strategy adopted by the Al Manar Racing Team from WRT was ideal and put us in the lead, and our speed was good throughout the round.”
