Dubai International Airport handled a record 46 million passengers in the first half of 2025, up 2.3% year-on-year, despite disruptions from the Iran-Israel war. Average monthly traffic was 7.7 million, with January setting a new monthly record of 8.5 million.
The airport expects 96 million passengers for the year, nearing the symbolic 100 million milestone. Top travel markets were India, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. Dubai plans a $35 billion expansion to relocate operations to Al Maktoum International by 2032, with a future capacity of 240 million passengers.
